DUI
Education Program
The DUI Education Program
consists of 16 hours of drug and alcohol education.
This program is designed for the first
time offender who is of legal age to consume alcohol in the State of
Delaware
and who presents at DERP
for an assessment following a DUI incident without evidence of an abuse problem,
and typically with a BAC of less than 0.17.
The client referred to our program will receive 16 hours of education
services through six (6) 2½ hour classes. The
class enrollment may be open or closed as long as the client does not have to
wait more than 30 days to get started. The
frequency of the meetings may vary by program.
Typically, the client will be referred to
a program in the client’s county of residence, but may request a referral to
any of the three counties in Delaware.
